Three Days on the Floor in Toronto

I am spending three days at the Enercare Center in Toronto.

The RC Show runs Sunday through Tuesday. Solpak has a booth on the East side. Number 1850.

Two of our team players are with me. Nicky Martineau just joined us as new products and solutions advisor for Ontario. Véronique Famelart covers product and solution advisory across the line, and she is our Thermogo specialist. They are the ones answering the real questions when potential clients walk up.

We are showing our sealers, including the automated 1908.

I am there as founder and president, but my job at a trade show is not to give the demo. It is to meet people. Existing clients I have not seen in a year. Prospects who have heard about Solpak but never seen what we actually do. Industry contacts who could be partners later.

The packaging business does not move on email. It moves on relationships. You do not build those from your desk.

Three days. Hundreds of conversations. Most lead nowhere. A handful change something.

That is why I show up.
