The Entrepreneur Sherpa Method: Building Freedom for Business Owners

Aug 18, 2025

The problem the method was built to solve

I started coaching entrepreneurs because I kept meeting the same person.

Different industries, different cities, different ages. But the same essential problem: a founder who had built something real, something that worked, and who was completely trapped by it.

The business needed them for everything. They could not take a vacation without their phone vibrating every three hours. They could not get sick without the operation slowing down. They had traded a job for a larger, more expensive, more demanding job.

That is not freedom. That is a very sophisticated trap.

How the Sherpa Method developed

The method did not come from a theory. It came from Solpak.

I built Solpak to run without me. Not because I was lazy. Because I understood that a business dependent on its founder is not a business. It is a freelance arrangement with more overhead.

The question I kept asking myself was: what would have to be true for this company to keep performing if I was not available tomorrow?

Answering that question, systematically, across every dimension of the business, is what became the Sherpa Method.

What the nine disciplines cover

Brand and positioning. Sales. Financials. Indicators. Systems. Team structure. Coaching culture. Client service. Growth and sustainability.

None of those disciplines is optional. You can be excellent at five of them and still be trapped, because the two you are ignoring will expand until they fill all your time.

The method is not about perfecting each discipline. It is about reaching the level of maturity in each one where the business can operate without you holding it up.

What freedom actually looks like

It does not look like beaches and passive income. That is a marketing fantasy.

It looks like choosing how you spend your time. Being present at your child's school play without your phone in your hand. Making a strategic investment because you want to, not because the business is forcing your hand.

Clarity. Focus. Freedom. In that order.

That is the work. It takes longer than most people expect and less time than most people fear.
