This is the credenza behind my desk.

Built for Freedom. La méthode Sherpa. A wedding photo. A cartoon of my family. A "Wanted" poster my team made of me. A chalkboard that says "Calm. Outcomes. Courage. Passion." Notes from my kids. A Nespresso machine. A Solpak mug.

Some founders keep their personal life out of the office. I never understood that.

The business exists because of the life. The life got better because of the business. They are not separate. They never were.

Every time I turn around in my chair, I see why I built this. Not revenue targets. Not market share. My family. My books. The people who believed in me before anyone else did.

If your workspace does not remind you why you started, you are going to forget. And when you forget, you start chasing metrics instead of meaning.

That is how founders burn out. Not from working too hard. From losing the thread.
