Les Mercuriades 2025. Employer of the Year finalist. Small and medium business category.

This year, we were nominated again. 2026 finalist for Entrepreneuriat/Repreneuriat. We do not know if we will win. That is not the point.

The point is that we are here at all.

Solpak. A packaging distributor from a small town west of Montreal. Finalist in one of Quebec’s most prestigious business competitions. Three times.

For years, we did not enter. We did not talk about what we were building. We just built it. Then Michel said something that stuck. It was time for Solpak to stop hiding its qualities. Time to shine in public because of what makes this company unique.

He was right.

A lot of founders treat team culture as a nice-to-have. Something you get to after the revenue is figured out. That is backwards. Revenue follows culture. It always has.

You do not become a finalist for Employer of the Year by writing a good nomination. You become one by building a place people actually want to work. For years. Quietly. Before anyone is watching.

Awards are not the point. What they prove is.
